The Dashcam on our car records everything that happens on the road in front of us. Although it was initially installed for insurance purposes it rapidly became a source of content. Most of the video is never watched again. Sometimes, like on our desert trips, I find the video so cool I have to publish it in some form.
Our recent 670km drive across Italy sparked my interest. The 2 day drive in itself was not so interesting but when compressed down to 12 minutes you really see the Italian countryside flyby. From the mountains and tunnels of the Genova coast line to the vast plains around Bologna we saw it all. As an added bonus at the end you also see the inside of a ferry ship.
