A quiet year sports wise. Seemed to spend most of the year building up an MGB GT rally car only to have it fail at the last fence! Anyhow just the 3 finisher medals this year.
1) Nice Half Marathon (21km) (my 4th time) – this was a last minute thing just to make sure I had 1 medal to show for the year.
2) Nice Full Ironman (3.8km swim, 180km bike, 42km run) (my 8th time) – this was held in the middle of a heat wave weekend in June. I found it really tough but managed to just scrape in before the cut off time.
3) Nice-Cannes Marathon (42km) (my 12th time) – amazed this was not cancelled as we started in the middle of a massive thunder storm and monsoon rains. Nice weather at the finish though.
