In 2025 I decided to try capture some of the on track action during the various races of the weekend. I used my Canon R5 camera with a 400mm lens to film certain sections of the track in 8k portrait. By recording at 8k I was then able to zoom in to the action without losing too much quality. It was so hot that I had to give the camera a sun hat and a fan to stop it overheating at 8k.
The first video is a comparison of the four types of cars that were racing. The later videos are specific events on track which I found interesting. The most popular one, as you might have guessed, is the crash between Gasly and Tsunoda near the end of my list.
