Home Made Sequencer: Things you find in space – A musical

This is a spacey music clip using an animation sequence I made in 2022 for a now defunct NFT (remember those!) project. It is basically an exercise for an Ardunino Mega 2650 based Sequencer I made on a piece of scrap wood.

The inset video of my Sequencer in action was made with a GoPro Hero 11 delicately balanced on a Raspberry Pi box. The sound and video were then fudged together into sync in my ancient Power Director 16 video editor.

My Sequencer fires DIN5 MIDI directly into a Behringer Crave synthesizer whose audio output goes into Abelton Live 12 via a Bomge BMG-22M interface. The sound is then pumped up with the excellent Supermassive Sci-Fi echos and feedback plugin from Valhalla (see link below). The actual musical notes are inspired by the 1977 aliens movie “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” – Enjoy!
